A message from Matt Hertz, Third Person Founder & CEO:

On Sept. 22-24, we hosted our Inaugural Logistics and Leadership Retreat, where founders and leaders from across the world (yes, even New Zealand!), representing 45 leading brands, 3PLs, and logistics tech companies, traveled to Nashville for an intimate few days together.

Everyone got to meet everyone. It was an incredible opportunity to spend time with industry leaders, many of whom had never met in person (only Zoom, LinkedIn, and various Slack groups!)

While business was discussed, the overwhelming feedback I received was that attendees left with new friends. One attendee even told me that at the start, he felt like he was walking into the lion’s den with his top competitors. Instead, the retreat broke down those barriers, and he's leaving with mentors and friends.

It was truly magical: the intimacy, casualness, and cool factor made it so special. Staying at the Soho House was incredible, and our breakout activities, including a VIP tour of the half-built, soon-to-be new Tennessee Titans stadium, a whiskey tasting at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, whose history traces back almost 150 years, and designing your own letterpress print at Hatch Show Print, led to unique networking opportunities.

The energy in every conversation was palpable, from the intentional, small-group discussions to the spontaneous connections that happened over bourbon tastings, late-night honky-tonking, and early morning in the sauna!

As I shared in my opening remarks, what brings us together isn't Third Person's agenda. It isn't about our platform or our business. In fact, I didn't once share what it is that we do. This retreat exists for one reason: you. I am so thankful for the community we have here and excited to see the new friendships that were cultivated flourish in the coming weeks, months, and years.
